I had this funny feeling something was up because when the salesman came back and said I need your keys registration/insurance info and he started putting all this info in a app on his phone. I asked him what he was doing as no one had done this before he said we use an app for trade ins...

I think $4K is the most discount they give on them. I think I only got it by going to a dealer that sells a high volume of cars.

I know they only showed me so much for mine originally because they planned on taking some money out of the discount. That's why I made them match the price quote I got elsewhere.

I would think if they didn't want to give a discount that they would at least show you a good trade in value.

Maybe you need to travel to get a deal.

Yeah, shop around. I have a hard time believing anyone is paying over MSRP. As much as I love mine, i wouldn't have.

I got an off road premium for invoice. I got the color I wanted and no dealer add ons delivered within one week. Brought my own financing from a credit union and I was out within an hour.

    Nice!

Not sure what invoice was, but I paid ~$38.6K for a '19 ORP with KDSS and all weather floor mats(2 sets) plus they gave me about $2-3K over KBB for my Tacoma

I think $37.8K-$38.9K is what I am looking to spend that is a fair price.

I know the Technology is not that same as what I have in my 17 TRD OR but I am so ready to move out of a truck....

I picked up a 19 Taco OR last October but regretting the decision and looking to convert! I may wait for the 2020 4R just to get the updated tech.

    Congrats!

The reason i changed was the current issues I had with my TRD OR Taco transmission issues of erratic shifting, leaking rear diff that Toyota said was normal and drive line vibrations through the steering wheel and some drive line shutter every so often

2020 Toyota 4runner Kdss. 2020 Toyota 4Runner will be one of the best off road SUVs in the future. To learn more about this, you must look closely at these rumors spread. If you're searching for a SUV that is good for off road, Toyota 4Runner can be one of the best options. The 2020 Toyota 4Runner Diesel is 1 of 2 we found as possibilities. One of the possibilities is the good-old D-4D unit. A 2.8-liter four-pot engine is good for 180 horses and 330 lb-ft of torque. 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro and Limited Redesign becomes the hotly debated topic that individuals are discussing the outcome of improved capacity and a part of the transpiring progressions. Considering everything, 4Runner is really famous.

2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro and Limited Redesign
Because the model 2018 has changed into a gigantic hit, it is totally protected to anticipate the same great things enhanced for model 2020. One thing certainly, the frontend may have some changes. Updated LED lights are incorporated along with the new grille and guards. There's been no vision about the overall changes. Whatever the case, it is just a certain thing that the part of the plans will undoubtedly be attractive and noteworthy. For the development, Talk has that Toyota can regardless utilize the scenario for the model 2018 for the variation 2020. Since model 2018 is claimed to accompany good luck highlights, you might have an increased desire. The model 2018 can also be reported to be the energized cycle for 4Runner, to help you cross your fingers for an improved result.

For the engine, 2020 Toyota 4Runner is likely to accompany another game plan. Toyota cannot utilize the V6 4.0 liter unit. They may be supplanted with the normally aspirated V6 engine with the 3.5 liter limit which is delivering 300 horsepower of power. With the combination of effective motor and lighter development, this vehicle will convey more encouraging performance, improved efficiency, and in addition faster speed. Toyota intends to add dynamic suspension kinetic innovation that's guaranteed to transmit a superior, less complex, and smoother driving background. However, on another hand, they are just items of gossip. The organization has made no official statement concerning the forms of innovation and highlights incorporated in its most up-to-date model 2020.

    2020 Toyota 4runner Engine
We do not get accurate information regarding the machine. develop The 4Runner still count on the old Toyota 4.0-liter V-6 to gain strength. It comes with variable valve timings on its double overhead cams, but it's about as sophisticated. Horsepower rated 270 at 5,600 rpm and torque entered at an altitude of 278 pound-feet at 4,400 rpm. The engine is paired by having an outdated five-speed automatic transmission. Thus, EPA fuel economy isn't likely to be very impressive. The 2019 4Runner TRD Pro is rated at 17 mpg city and 20 mpg highway. The figure isn't expected to alter by 2020. Needless to say, the engine and transmission are only a tiny part of the 4Runner TRD Pro drivetrain.

The 4WD part-time system is employed here, with a great ole-mode manual handle. A higher 4WD range can be involved while on the road, while the low range does require the full stop and the transmission is positioned neutral. After doing the 4WD range, the engine torque is split 50/50 between leading and rear axle. 2020 Toyota 4runner also offers electronic rear locking differentials as well. The transfer case does have to be in the low 4WD range, but the E locker moves quickly and makes a corner tire rotate at the same speed, no matter its appeal.

    2020 Toyota 4Runner Safety Features
The upcoming 2020 Toyota 4Runner will offer lots of safety features. However, modern features like blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist won't be contained in the standard package. The 4Runner will have Electronic Stability Control, A-Trac ABS, Side Impact Beams, Driveline Traction Control and Safety Connect Emergency S.O.S.

Furthermore, the features that are improved are Rear Child Safety Locks, Passenger and Driver Knee Airbag and Low Tire Pressure Warning. To conclude this listing of safety features, let's mentioned the Outboard Front Lap And Shoulder Safety Belts, Airbag Occupancy Sensor, and Curtain in 1st,2nd and 3rd Row Airbags. This features will also be available in the typical pack.

    2020 Toyota 4runner Redesign
The 4Runner TRD Pro will upgrade Fox Racing Shocks that help handle high-speed deserts better while providing civilian ride around the town and new roof racks offer more storage for dirty equipment. Other changes inside and outside helped maintain the interest of 4Runner as the interest exploded for the main rival, Jeep Wrangler. Other visual changes are the brand new LED fog lights. Like 2016 and then Tacoma TRD Pro, this arises from Rigid Industries, a supplier of off-road LED lights. While road-legal and floodlights are a little crazy, LEDs should be far better than halogen lamps before.

The final aesthetic update occurs with leading skid plate. While technically the same as before, the stamped TRD logo was painted red. It doesn't really help anything, but it sure looks good. The 4Runner TRD Pro retains the same wheel and tire package from the last one, which means rolling on 17-inch matte-wrapped black wheels wrapped in a 265 / 70R Nitto Terra Grappler insulated tire.

    2020 Toyota 4runner Interior
Small changes also occur inside, but not limited to the TRD Pro class. Entune infotainment system has been upgraded for 2020 and includes premium JBL Audio system with navigation and suite of Toyota applications. Unfortunately, it still does not include Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. In terms of the TRD Pro upgrade, the seats are wrapped in Softex and accented with contrast stitching and TRD logo on the headrests. TRD logo appears more on the mat and on the shift key. 4Runner offers to seat for five with a cargo level of 47.2 cubic feet behind the next row. With a corner seats folded flat, the amount of cargo jumped to 89.7 cubic feet. Needless to say, this new roof rack offers more storage than ever before 4Runners.

2020 Toyota 4Runner Release Date and Price
The new 2020 Toyota 4Runner will be around in six trim levels: SR5, SR5 Premium, Limited, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, and TRD Pro Series. The MSRP starts just under $36,500 for a platform 2WD SR5 model. For the TRD Models starting price is around $39,500 and the Limited line starts close to $44,750. The TRD Pro Series has a price tag of $45,000.

With your prices, new 2020 Toyota 4Runner cost significantly more than the Ford Explorer, Nissan Pathfinder, and Kia Sorento. However, these vehicles aren't exactly meant for serious off-roading such as the 4Runner. The forthcoming 2020 4Runner will hit the streets within the last quartal of 2019.

I had my 2018 Tacoma for two months before trading it. I'd driven Tacoma's for 20 years and hated the 3rd gen. Toyota did the tsb for the diff howl, the howl was still there, and then Toyota said it was normal and nothing they could do.

That and the wonky transmission were a big buzzkill. Plus a loss of money on a trade.

The 4runner is soooo much better. Night and day on the highway. I'm also getting better mpg at 75+ mph because the Tacoma would downshift with any headwind at all.

My thoughts are this: if they do make MAJOR changes to the 2020, I wouldn’t want to buy one until the 2021 model so most bugs would be worked out, so by then I’ll be ready to trade the 2019 in. Win win

The diesel rumors seem to always be popping up. With the new emissions requirements for diesel, I'm not sure I'd be interested anymore. Though, I do like the low end torque.

I'm hoping to drive my 2019 for a looonnngg time..

Oh yea the transmission is a definite buzzkill. I went with the Tacoma because of the upgraded tech and I do some woodworking so the bed seemed necessary. I snowboard as well and it's nice throwing all of it in the back. It's decent for traveling but when I have more than 2 passengers it gets tight with the luggage. I'm just wondering if I should go for the 2020 or wait for the 2021, either way I'm going to take a financial hit. I paid $36,700 for it so OTD it was a little under $40k so I'm wondering if I should just suck it up and stick it out for a while. If you don't mind me asking, how big a hit did you take and do you have any other advice?

Dude, I will tell you, I hadn't bought a new car since my '07, and it's amazing how snarky dealerships have gotten. I went to my dealership where I had purchased my last 2 4Runners, and they proudly advertise that they're under new management. Well this "new management" turned out for the worst. They wanted to sell a 4Runner SR5 Premium 4WD to me for sticker price, without budging. I got them down about $4000 off the sticker price, and then they tried throwing a curve ball at me at the end. I don't see what their problem was, since I already had my own financing that they could not match. At the end, the Salesperson was so called "begging" on my behalf for the Management to accept the deal, while I was already signing my papers on my current '19 Off Road Premium at another dealership. When I was done, I sent the picture of my current to the salesperson and his Manager, whom were "fighting" to get my offer past Management, and told them to piss off...

The next day, went into the dealer whom was dicking around, parked the '19 in front of the sales department, and went to the parts counter to get my cargo mat and other accessories... Bittersweet!

By the way, nice that you made it out of the crash in one piece to tell the story man.... Congrats on the new TRD ORP... Upgrades are always nice...

I really miss having a pickup bed but the 3rd gen tacoma was just sooo bad. Between the howl and the bad gas mileage/transmission on the highway I couldn't stand it. I'm embarassed to say how much money I lost. I literally feel like it got stolen from me on account of the diff howl. Absolutely unacceptable to do that to a person. A $40k truck that sounds like it had a kazoo under it? And then say "sorry you got one of the bad ones, nothing we can do about it".

If you plan on driving a T4R for a long time, take the hit and get out of the vehicle you're not liking. It all depends on how unhappy you are.

I can tell you the quality/fit/finish/ride quality... virtually every aspect other than an actual pickup bed-- the 4runner blows the Tacoma away. And I loved Tacoma's. Drove them for 20 years.

I actually prefer not having the safety sense stuff on the 4runner. Didn't like it on the Tacoma. You can turn most of it off but you have to do it every time you drive. The larger head unit screen in the Tacoma was nice. Ha that's the ONLY thing I'd say I liked better about the Tacoma. But a small trade off in my mind.
