I have a 2018 limited 4Runner. I had 4wheel parts install the 3” revtech spacer lift. On my way home I noticed a squeak coming from the rear end when I go over bumps. I got under there and can hear the sound coming from somewhere near the rear coil / shock when I push up and press down on the body on the drivers side. While I was under there, I also noticed the vertical section of the sway bar was a little crooked on the driver side, so I rotated it back to straight, but the noise is still there. Has anyone else had this issue? Wondering if anyone has any guidance, as I would prefer to fix it myself because 4WP is a good hour away from me. Thanks in advance.

When I push up on the body from the bottom and put my hand on the shock, I can feel it creaking. This kit came with a spacer that goes between the shock and mount for the shock. I tightened down the stem on top of the shock a little and that made it a little better. How tight is that nut supposed to be? Torque specs? I don’t want to eff anything up.

    It’s a revtech lift though.

Make sure everything was torqued while on the ground and not on the lift.

I just recently installed the same kit on my limited. Found out that it’s the rear shock top bushing/top mount plate that’s rubbing on the rear of the spacer block. Seems like an error by Revtek in the design. I’m thinking of pulling the bushing part off and using a dremmel to grind the back end of the metal part a bit so it stops rubbing on the block mount. Will update as to what happens when I’m done!

Yep that’s what it was on mine too. After 3 trips back to 4wheel parts they finally figured it out. The botched the spacer yo make room for the washer so it doesn’t run anymore. They said there’s is not “cure” for it and it may come back one day, but we haven’t heard the noise since January.
