TIRE Size Comparison - what do they REALLY look like Side-by-side?

So - I have used this page a number of times, for numerous vehicles.
This does SORT OF Give an idea on fitment, but not necessarily to OUR Vehicle, just Overall - in a comparison.

You plug in OE on the Left - and new size on the right, and you get both views, and ton a data to stare at..
And even some Alternatives that may work as well, with a Speedo Comparison.

Hope this helps some out there. (oh yeah, change Units as needed. US vs. everyone else.)

 

That’s a pretty nice one but they are inherently inaccurate. For example a Copper S/T Maxx tire in a 255/80/17 has a 32.8” diameter, but a Nitto Ridge Grappler in that same 255/80/17 has a 33.3” diameter (based on the manufacturer’s specifications. Same size tire with 1/2” variance in diameter. It’s hard to make a calculated based off generic measurements, they really need to allow you put in the actual size instead of the stated size (that goes for tire size calculators as well). I know K02s for example run notoriously small for their size.

 

Interesting - and yes, I agree that they can be generic.
I wonder if original tread depth would factor into this? or what makes them vary by that much if the same "specs"?
