The XREAS system isnt the greatest IMHO. So that was deleted and replaced with Kings. Oh, and the diesel guys laugh at my snorkel. No problems overall tho.

Why do the diesel guys laugh at your snorkel? Do a lot of diesel drivers run snorkels in your area? I’m in probably one of the most farmed states in the US and diesels are everywhere (I drive a diesel for my DD) and I’ve never seen a single one running a snorkel here.

My high school was, and still is 28 years later, surrounded on all 4 sides by massive corn fields. Lol.
It was very common in my day to have shotguns/rifles in the back window of our trucks in the school parking lot because usually us guys hunted before school started each morning. Wow how times have changed! I spent most days in class with a dip of skoal in my lip and teachers never said a word other than we better swallow and not spit in the floor. Now days I read in the paper at least two boys a week getting citations for carrying tobacco at school. Sad really.

The 22s with low profile tires are plentiful around here. Wanna be rednecks most of them and wouldn't know what to do outside the mall parking lot. I don't see the diesels with snorkels either. The 4Runner is a girls truck to them anyway lol. The Snorkel is just the punch line of the joke. But I will say the racing heritage here because of Daytona has evolved into some good Diesel and drift tuners over the years.

Just seen you are located in Florida. I know the the scene down there all too well. I spent every summer in Ocala Florida from a small boy until I was 19. My mother moved there when I was in elementary school so I would visit her and my sisters every summer. The guys there thought they were rednecks but it was totally different than how us real farm boys were raised. They did have good parties tho. Lol

Lol just noticed we have the same name and spelling. Also realized I haven't put my first name on my page. So.....Brett....meet Brett. Yea the country boy left coastal Florida a long time ago. There are mostly migrants that work the farms, but there is still some heritage in the cattle industry in the middle of the state here. The Air Boat crowd are the true rednecks in my area. Most of them drive stock or mud trucks to pull their rigs. What I despise is the white trash/meth mouth crowd that destroy everything in site. A lot of our best off roading spots have been shut down because of the knuckle heads dumping trash, stolen vehicles, bon fire party trash and spent ordinance every freakin where. Anyway, sorry OP we got off topic......Still no issues with my 4Runners.

It doesn’t handle like an Audi, it doesn’t have as wide a stance as the Raptor, it doesn’t get 427 mpg like my 13 F-150 eco boost, if you lift and add 44s the tires rub, it won’t haul my 12,000 lb airstream like my Camry did.

Those are the most common complaints I see.

Also, Entune sucks. Stock handling gives you drift and nose dive (unless you have kdss or xreas). Stock tires are crap. Mine gets a whistle at 80mph due to vortex generators. I get a bad feedback loop over BT with the phone/radio volume too high.

Also, it’s much more capable off road than me, so I’ve been stuck a few times.

Had my baby a year now and zero issues. Drives like a dream. I average 16-16.8 mpg.

Through the first 5 fillups, mine has averaged 19.0 once, and 19.1 four times, all logged on fuelly. Roughly a 50/50 mix of city streets and highway. I drive 70-75 on the highway, lots of cruise control. Pretty much bone stock for now.

In the 1100 miles that we’ve owned ours, we average around 14. Mostly all country roads.

'18 Stock SR5 4WD currently shows 19.3 mpg on the dash. I assume this represents the mpg performance over the history since buying it new as I have never reset this display. I've put approx. 11,100 mi on the ride. My only complaints are the location of the cruise control on the steering column, and my Etune touch screen can be a bit numb sometimes, particularly regarding the source selection.
