    Just joined the site, glad to be here. Thanks for all of the experience and wisdom.

    Car enthusiast and owner of a 2005 4Runner SR5 V6 with 205,000 miles. In the middle of a moderate restoration, fixing everything that needs fixed. A dream is to run this vehicle for 300,000 miles.

    It has been a faithful daily driver for my then-growing family. Kids are out of the house now and the 4Runner is now in part time service.

    I am a car guy and enjoy doing as much of my own work as possible. I have some things (some chassis, exhaust and engine) done at a dealer or repair shop.

    Some cars I have owned or driven as daily drivers:

    1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
    1978 Ford F100 4WD 400ci V8 short bed
    1985 Pontiac Sunbird
    1982 Jaguar XK6 Series III
    1989 Ford F150 XLT Lariat 2WD 8 foot bed 300ci I-6 5 speed manual
    1994 Ford Taurus
    1995 Mazda Miata MX-5
    1996 Ford Taurus
    1998 Ford Expedition
    2001 Toyota RAV4 FWD
    2002 Ford Windstar --> I would rather forget this one
    2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer
    2003 Ford F-250 Super Duty 2WD 6.0 Powerstroke 6 speed
    2004 Nissan Murano SE AWD
    2005 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6
    2011 Volkswagen Touareg TDI
    2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE350 4MATIC --> my DD
    2018 Honda CR-V EX-L
    2018 BMW X3 xDrive30i --> wife's DD

    Welcome from Wisconsin! That's quite a variety of vehicles!

    With proper maintenance, 300K should be easy.

    Thanks all, glad to be here.

    Pure, I have liked a lot of them.

    XJ6 for the interior and exterior appearance

    Miata for the fun to drive aspect and simplicity, easy to throw around

    Touareg for excellent fuel consumption, comfort/handling balance and towing capability, I racked up 238k miles on it

    Benz and Bimmer for appearance, tech and build quality
