So Im about to be getting the hookup on some KO2s from a guy that I work with. I have 16" wheels and am debating between running 265/75 or 275/70. Im currently on 285/75, and have a 3" lift that I will be replacing with a more quality, yet still 3" lift.

With these tire sizes in mind, Im hoping for a bit of a bump in mpg increase while still looking good. I like the height of the 265/75, but like the width of the 275. I just wish the 275 came in 75 as well! The main difference at this point seems that the 275 is a bit lighter, especially in the C rating since the 265/75 only comes in the E rating. Ill sparingly go wheeling, mainly driving highway as my daily driver.

Let me know your thoughts! Which might look better with the lift - taller, or wider? What performs best on the highway while still offering performance on the trails (KO2s so either way Im sure)?

Any pictures of either setup would be super helpful if possible!

4R's are pretty heavy, I personally wouldn't use a C rated tire on it, they will probably wear out in 15-20k miles.

I have C rated KO2's and they are sitting at 30K miles right now. They still have at least another 30-40K left in them. They are lasting so long I'm getting bored with them. :D

Thats good to hear! I know Ive seen people talk about running C rated, and never heard any problems with them.

What size do you run WallyT4R?

Get the 275's for sure. They will look much better than the 265's with a 3" lift. C-rated is fine for our trucks unless you're rock crawling all day.

Im leaning that way for sure, and am not worried about the C rated. I dont rock crawl at all, and will just do mild trails and whatnot when I do. I was just hoping there wouldnt be too awkward of a space in between the wheel well and the tire due to less height than the 265/75.

    My bad. I read it as a 265/70 vs a 275/70. Not 265/75

This is a tough one. I definitely wouldn't get an E-rated tire for mostly street driving (my personal opinion) and I wouldn't settle for a tire I wasn't happy with height wise just to get a deal.

I think you should forego the deal and get some 285/70s. That will give you the height and width you're looking for. It'll look better on the truck and you can save some weight by going either P or C rated.

No worries, I appreciate you updating your opinion on it! I think the height difference between the two I mentioned is very little, and so I might go ahead with the 275s since those come in C rated and will be a bit lighter, quieter, and probably handle a smidge better. Def still leaning that way anyways. Ill update if I decide otherwise. Thank you!
