Has anyone ever heard of a way to lower running boards about 2 - 4"? I'm thinking maybe spacers and longer bolts, but maybe it would be best to take the 4Runner to an aftermarket trim shop.

    Thoughts, suggestions....?

Thanks for your consideration of my issue!

I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh
I'm sure a aftermarket shop could rig up a spacer that would still spread the stress properly. If you go this route have you considered the powered running boards, they could still be mounted lower and when they deploy out would go another inch or two lower still. Good luck and I would love to see what the solution ends up being.
