So last night I started installing the 3” OME lift in my wife’s new ride. The rear took maybe 45 mins. In the process, I hurt my back very bad but continued to work doing the front. I got the drivers side to the point of lifting out the existing coiliver. I had plans to start on it first thing rhis morning but I can barely even move I hurt so bad. Walking is nearly impossible at the moment. I just ate a handful of ibuprofen and will be out there in the next hour ir so to finish it up somehow. Man I dread this now! Probably gonna have to get one of the boys to lift the front wheels on because I don’t think I physically can.
Sucks having a bad back in your 40’s!

Dam man, take it easy! Don't become disabled over this. Take a day and let it loosen up.

Thank ya sir! Well, she’s questioning the tires now and wanting to go bigger than 275-55’s so not sure what’s gonna happen now. I told her to wait until it’s all done before she decides for sure. I think it looks amazing and am actually shocked how great the black and red wheels look on it.
    I’ll post pics afterwards.

Got the lift done 2 hours ago but it took me forever to get the wheels on. Everytime I tried to lift one onto the hub it felt like someone was branding me in the back with an iron.
It all came out well. Total lift time was around 3 hours with the help of cordless impacts and cordless ratchets, doing it all solo.

The ride is great with a very minor rub on one spat at full lock. A tiny bit of work with the heatgun and no more rubbing.

The wifey now loves it and is very happy.

It’s ok, I know it’s certainly not for everyone. She wanted red/black rims on her last new car and I talked her into all black ones and I’ve never heard the end of it. Lol

She’s happy with them so that’s all that matters to me. And I actually think they look good. Not my first choice, but they’re cool.

good job to complete under pain. When I did mine, it was more a pain in the ARSE! lol
The wheels are different, haven't seen anything like those, it's good to stand out and be different, if she likes, even better!

Glad she likes it and it is unique. And good job toughing it out. Don't know if I could have done the same. Now a suggestion, debadge those lame badges off the side, vinyl black or paint the front and rear valances, and cover the chrome badges on the front and rear to really clean it up. Oh, and drink a beer or six, you deserve it

Agreed... blacking it out will help a bunch... it'll help make the wheels pop :D

I think the rims and lift are GREAT! The red anodizing usually turns a “pink” after awhile but the wifey might like that better.....

@Allaboutfamily , what did you end up going with for UCA's or have you not done them yet? (referencing your other thread)

    Thanks guys!
All the badging will be black very soon.
    And I haven’t done UCA’s yet. I’ll be ordering JBA’s soon.

Well if the red turns pink then we’ll replace the wheels with new ones. No biggie.

She has gotten tons of compliments from strangers on this new setup already. The pics really don’t do it justice.
