I have a 2015 SR5 with an exhaust leak on the driver side. I have isolated the sound to the manifold and it all but disappears at temp. I verified it is not the solenoid thing on the intake manifold. I did quite a bit of searching for write ups or info on swapping an exhaust manifold and couldn't even come up with a photo. Any input or even someone who had the stealership do the work that could give me an idea of what it cost? I would rather do the work myself to save money but would like an idea of what I would be getting myself into.

Third owner, just around 56,000 miles. It is in really good shape otherwise. I have been all over working on her without finding any surprises or signs of abuse. It started out in Massachusetts and the exhaust in front of the muffler does show some pretty good rust..... but only the exhaust and not the body anywhere. The engine block has the white scale corrosion to a small degree all over.

since low miles and only 5yrs old could be some other issue not the manifold . use a 3/8 rubber hose stick one end in your ear and the other to probe the noise location.

could be engine internal noise.. I have had a problem on GM engines the ex man creates a ticking sound then I found the bolt head popped off .. could be lifter noise on cold starts .. add 4OZ of marvel mystery oil to the engine oil .. if the noise goes away then the oil servicing is not properly done [sludge] .. 0-20wt synthetic .

I did an oil change myself around a thousand miles ago. Ran seafoam for 200 miles prior, 0-20 mobile1 extended life and motorkote. I do really need to remove the shield to tube check like you said to isolate further. Been super busy with work, visiting family and kids birthday. Thanks for the input.

Yeah, look closely to try to find the noise. I did see a video with JB Weld that Chrisfix did to find & seal an exhaust leak to so you may not have to do an entire manifold replacement if the leak is small. It certainly would be odd having a leak at such low mileage.

    Update: here you go.

Also of note there is something called the "Toyota tick" that is fairly common and is also normal. Lots of threads on that, which I'm sure you can find.
