Well, after a lot of comparisons, I've settled on the 4Runner. I'll be going and getting the purchase started today, although the model I want is in Austin so it will take a few days to get here.

I'm getting a 2019 TRD Off-Road Premium with KDSS. Damn but that KDSS option is hard to find in Texas...

For sure! I'm living on pics of everyone else's for the time being, so I'll be happy to return the favor when the time comes!

Of course, I just walked out of the dealer without the deal being done. They're going ahead and transporting the car to Houston, but we're not seeing eye to eye on the trade-in value. Don't want to seem too eager....

Yup got to walk the fence between wanting it and getting what you can. I tend to be so pig headed I'll walk over 100.00 which is crazy then a week later I regret it. Do the best you can then you really got to decide how badly you want to own it.

Badly. Of course. But they don't need to know that! If I can't get any movement, I think I'll be pretty happy "settling" with another Off-Road Premium! ;-)

Shit, I hope not. We just got ours last month and plated this week.
I think people are trying to get a newer or new T4R before the 6th Gen's comes out.
I have heard rumors of all the tech jazz & intrusive things us T4R owners don't want that may be coming as soon as 2021.

Congratulations & looking forward to pictures!

You can also look outside your area and work the dealers of your willing to travel.

This is a good read for you so you get what you want and not what a dealer will get for you.

Heh...that's not only an good approach, but a pretty entertaining read too.

I actually feel I'm getting a decent deal on the new vehicle. It's the trade in that is really low. Looking at pictures on this forum (like your "My Build" thread) don't help!

Took some work, but I finally got the deal done today! I chose one without KDSS to give myself some leverage in the negotiations, and as long as I never drive someone else’s with the system installed, I’ll never know the difference.

Here she is! And now I had to leave her already to fly to London for the week...

    Good looking truck!

Depending on how you plan on modding it, the lack of KDSS could make things simpler.

And if you like the way it drives, you bought the right one!

Oh, and welcome! Congratulations on the purchase:cheers:
