Hey guys, just finished my 95 4Runner Rear Suspension “Mom Butt” (spring and shock) swap. It was pretty easy. If you plan on fixing yours, this youtube video might help.

Written Step-By-Step Description. Let me know if I missed anything.

Replacing a 2nd Generation Toyota 4Runner Rear Suspension with:
Moog CC255 Coil Spring Set ($60 per pair)
KYB 565059 MonoMax Gas Shock ($56 each)

Step 1: Secure front wheels (with wheel stoppers)

    Step 2: Lift Rear Frame

Step 3: Loosen both rear wheel lug nuts (22mm socket)

Step 4: Lift Rear Differential Gear Box (Pumpkin)

    Step 5: Remove Rear Wheels

Step 6: Remove Stabilizers (14mm socket)

Step 7: Lower Rear Differential Gearbox (Pumpkin)

    Step 8: Remove Shocks (12mm, 14mm, 17mm wrenches)

Step 9: Remove Suspension Spring (brute force)

Step 10: Install new Suspension Springs (Moog CC255 Coil Spring)

Step 11: Install Shocks (KYB 565059 MonoMax Gas Shock)

    Step 12: Re-Install Stabilizers

    Step 13: Re-Install Wheels

    Step 14: Lower Rear Body

Step 15: Test Drive "Ol' Betsie"

Good Luck and let me know how you guys did....Don't forget to make sure the brake line brackets are loose enough to allow brake line movement during the rear axle flex.
