Can anyone guide me towards which hid color would best match the led fog lights on a 2019 pro? My only options are 4300 or 6000. TIA!

The LED fogs are close to 5500K.
At least that was the spec when the Tacoma pro lamps were rated.
I bought some 5000K HID bulb to see if it’s a close match.
I do think the 4300K I have now is a more usable light.

    I kept 4300K Philips on my 4Runner

I installed the 5000k HIDs on my Tacoma with the chrome LED fog P/N and they do not match exactly but close

I think 5500k bulb would match closer but not willing to sacrifice the loss in performance.

So just an update, the morimoto 5500k hid kit did not match the fogs, so know i am thinking its closer to either 5700k or 6000k.

I previous had 6k morimoto on 55 watt ballast and they are hard to see well at night when the roads are wet. Just a fair warning. I wish I had 35 watt ballast to test the difference.

I guess I don't quite understand the emphasis on looks. Is there a reason for wanting to match up the looks of these lights?

I upgraded the bulbs to see and be seen better. I have the 4300K Phillips HIDS and they are awesome at night. Fogs are the Phillips yellow LED bulbs. Great performing combination.

in my opinion, i would like both headlight and foglights to match, and be functional of course.

I went through 10 different sets of LED’s, all the big names, from $150 a set to, $50. I either didn’t like the output or the throw, dust cap compatibility, or fitment without modification. The ones I have now and still love.......on my ‘19 Pro.

So you have the pro led, with this low beam led and they match? Any pics on the vehicle? Thanks.

Yes, standard OEM led fogs, match is very close if not perfect. Will go take pics in a few.

They are just a sliver more blue from the side, but head on look about the same. The high beams are bright as Shi......... not that feces is very luminous, just an expression.

On a serious note, these have the best pattern and light output out of any LED bulb manufacturer I tried, and I tried them all, well almost all. The adjustable ones wiggled in their crappy bases, some lacked output, some were too blue, some didnt fit, some had wonky beam patterns. I was skeptical of cougar at first, even though I like real cougars, both kinds. Having morimoto or hikari just sounded cooler. I tried another version from cougar listed in a blog and it lacked the output I was wanting.

With these and running the high beams as DRL, they flicker a tad at startup, then it goes away. I contacted them and they sent me a pair of canbus/anti flicker harness for free, but now the high beams seem full power as DRL. Have been contemplating running w/out harness.

I have yet to be flashed about brightness, but with the fogs on, so much light, ditches are bright. Also, I rarely drive with my fogs on though. I’m in Minnesota and it seems like the cool thing to do here, even when there is no fog, rain, or poor lighting conditions. I find other ways to try and be cool.

I am in no way afiliated w/ them, but buy them, you’ll be happy. Or you can do what I did, buy every set on Amazon and return the ones you don’t like.

@indevo I installed the low beam Cougar Motor X-Small based on your recommendation. Huge improvement over the stock halogens (of course)!

I am wondering if you tried out the Headlight Revolution SV.4 LED Low Beam in your testing? I have the SV.4 on order but am thinking of cancelling because the Cougar is more than sufficient.
