    To be technically correct, the '10+ Dual VVT-I 1GR 4Runner internal parts and internal design shares nothing with the the older pre '10 single VVT-I 1GR 4Runners. They are completely different motors. The earlier single 1GR are actually stronger internally then the '10+ Dual VVT-I. This is from guys I know who have boosted both motors either supercharged or turbo'd motors. Yes they are 4.0L, yes they are 1GR, but two different motors internally. Just my .02

    Terrific choice. A killer, aesthetically. What size tires? Have to admit that OP Premium is more exciting to me than the Limited I bought without much awareness of its, well, limitations upload_2019-4-10_4-59-43.png

    Congratulations on the purchase and happy birthday!
    Let me know if you want to take them out & get them dirty! I cannot wait.

    @sfoffroad
    As for tire size... factory.
    We had the T4R 3 days & I hated the look of those Dunlaps and love these. (On all 3 vehicles of our trucks).
    It is my wife's daily & a brand new purchase.

    Doing the math the factory size is like 31.7"
    If people say you need a 3" lift to run 33" I can wait. Plus, if it rubbed; I would never hear the end of it...

    There was an off road park under the south Omaha bridge in C.B. but it is closed all year due to the floods.
    I have a friend in a local off road group.
    When he gets back in town I will ask him.
    Also, he has a diesel truck with a winch! Safety.
    Let me know when you get the truck & settled in.
    Ryan.

    Get a second gen! Just kidding. My reasons for having one are, it was free, I know the entire history, and it has a boat load of sentimental value. I know mine is a great rig, wouldn't trust any other one though unless it has a lot of documents. Get a third gen with a 3.4. The 3.4 is one of the few engines I've seen repeatedly with over 500k. I just did a timing belt on a taco with a 3.4 and it had 502k on it. It's seriously a gas engine that lasts as long as a diesel does.
    Edit: Oh snap, didn't realize you got a third gen! Good for you! That is a SOLID engine.
