Electrical connector confusion

    1990 Toyota 4Runner sr5
    D2A564F9-F05A-4994-A033-4BC7B730880A.jpg AE8E524D-8A23-463E-A23F-E0A086C2F2F3.jpg I have a 1990 4Runner and today I was looking in the engine compartment. In the back next to the fire wall was this connector and it doesn’t seem to go anywhere. Any ideas on what it is?

    Stock just trying to keep her going 250K and counting
    Assuming it’s not just disconnected from something, I would guess it’s a plug for some emissions equipment you don’t have. I’ve got a 94 v6 and there is a bunch more emissions crap in the area pictured.

    Do you have egr? I’ve seen a connector for the egr in that area. On some of the egr delete instructions.

    I think that's for the cruise control. I take it yours doesn't have cruise control. On my 94 with cruise control my cruise control unit is between the fuse box and evap canister. I think that's just an "extra" plug on your harness.
