Installed aftermarket radio and somehow blew out the Radio Harness without blowing any fuses? Looks like the wiring had a meltdown (Literally melted), after installation the radio had a constant power draw, the dash lights have gone bongos and some other electric features stopped working (Windows no long go down, back door window included). Took the radio out to inspect the damages and boy was I surprised. Thinking I am going to need a new interior dash harness but not to mechanically inclined. Any advice?

So, did you add a inline fuse with the new head unit?

I did yes, not sure how it happened. Can't find where to source a dash harness either, been looking everywhere.

If I had to guess... The added inline fuse was rated for more amps then the harness. The power draw could not pop the fuse, so went path of least resistance and cooked the harness. Seen it happen back in my younger years when my "friend" thought adding a larger fuse would keep it from burning out.

That sucks. I would check salvage yards near you. Or, try Graham auto in Calara, AL. They specialize in Toyota trucks and SUVs. Good people, and I believe they ship all over. I have gotten several parts from them with no problems.
