97 LTD 2wd 4runner, all of the power functions at the rear hatch have ceased functioning. Additionally, the battery will be dead if I leave it connected overnight. On a couple of occasions I could hear something cycling over and over inside the passenger side of the hatch... probably the cause for the flat battery. I opened the inside panel of the hatch up to see if I could find the source of the noise or any obvious issue, nada. I don't seem to be able to recreate the cycling noise now. Since it's all the functions, and there is still power back there, I suspect it's a failed central relay. Anyone have expertise in this situation?

Check for ground, anytime you see white with a black trace that is ground wire, should have 0v.

The only non 0v reading is on this wire: .02v. Not much. Thoughts?

Also found these readings at the blue connector... all the others there are 0v.

the blue connector is like a splice, or junction, good body grounds in and out. Rear hatch is just wiper, window, defrost, and lock actuator. I know the defrost nor wiper will work if the window isn't all the way up. And i'm pretty sure window won't work if wiper isn't parked, or doesn't register as parked. regards to the readings posted, that ground that is 8.4v, what is that for, with the circuit incomplete a load is the same as a wire, so a disconnected ground should have close to battery volts.

Thanks, I understand that all the leads in and out of the blue connector are grounds. I need to understand which wire is the ground for which cricut. I am hoping that someone might know which pin is which, saving me testing each for continuity upstream. As far as the 8.4v and the 2.0v go, I'm guessing these are partial (bad) grounds?
