Pre-noob question: what region will the 2020 ORP show up first?

Long time lurker...

I'm looking to score my first 4Runner and Toyota is making it very difficult. I'm looking for an Off Road Premium w/KDSS and the 2019s still haven't shown up in the Boston area yet (well rumors I can pre-wait for a black one). I keep seeing a lot of them out west and have even contacted a few dealers out there. At this point I'm planning on waiting for the 2020s - what region/State/dealership will get them first. It sure as heck won't be here in the Northeast.

An how are the 2019's not showing up?? Maybe shop outside of the Boston area as the 2019's are everywhere. An you know the 2020 will have all the "safety" stuff. Or as I like to call it...the text and drive package. But if that is what you want then may as well wait for it I guess.

No Off Road Premiums with KDSS... rumor is some black ones coming soon. They start showing up in Connecticut and then further South and West.
Yes, the added safety features, plus hopefully push button start which has been in my Rav for 10 years. Seeing how the 2020s should be showing up somewhere in 6 months or so, thought I'd just push through and make connections and a purchase wherever that ends up being.

Yeah that is crazy to me that you can't find one in your area. The 4 must be selling real well right now. Well good luck, hope you find a good dealer and have a good purchase experience (if that is possible with a car dealer). Don't forget to post up pics of the new ride when it finally gets here.

 

The West coast definitely gets them first. It takes 1 week for the West Coast to get them from Japan and an additional 4 weeks for the East Coast to get them. Not sure why you're not seeing any 2019's in Boston though??

So you have gone to the dealer and told them what you want and they can't get one for you? I would contact all the dealers on the east coast, especially south of you before dealing with a dealer so far away in the west. If you want my dealers name just say so, maybe he can help you.

 

Yes, very frustrating. At this point I'm going to wait for the 2020s - I'm guessing they'll be out in the west in about 6 months or so. My plan is to get one as soon as they come out.
