    Hi guys,
Have a 96 4Runner limited with play in the steering. I've changed pretty much all the front end, bushings, tie rods, drop links and lower ball joints etc. Also had an alignment and new tires fitted and balanced.
It doesn't pull to one side, rather I have to constantly correct the wheel when driving.
No play in steering shaft, rag joint or universal joint..
I also replaced the steering rack guide which improved it a little but have a look at the video in the link - there seems a lot of play in the actual rack.

Thanks guys, any input or anyone else experience this kind of play ?

My 1st gen Tacoma which has the same rack has some play but not nearly that much. If the guide hasn’t helped and everything else has been redone or inspected you may need a new rack. If you decide that it’s bad enough this is a great place to buy a rack http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/toyota-tacoma-power-steering-rack.html. I would not go with an offbrand no name rack. Good luck!
