    Hey everyone,
I just purchased my first 5vz-fe with 288,xxx miles. This will be my 6th Toyota to date, I know they will last forever if taken care of so I wasn't terribly concerned. There was some oil seepage coming from the oil filter(possible improper installation), as well as some oil coming from the oil fill cap that was missing it's gasket. Other than that there are no other signs of leakage at all. I also checked all the drivetrain fluids and everything is full/ clean. I replaced the front pads and rotors, forward sway bar links as well as timing belt, water pump, crank and cam seals, thermostat and tension bearings as well. The last time a timing belt was installed was at 116,000!

My question is, what next? What else should I keep an eye on? There is a small chirping sound when at idle and seems to disappear when the clutch is depressed. Thoughts?

I would think about doing the LBJ’s, and the radiator if they have not been done already. And welcome.

Just did the timing belt. Definitely needed to be done, runs much smoother. Yea the front end would be the next thing to address, I don't currently see any immediate issues. She drives straight and there isn't any abnormal wear on the tread, so far. I will be doing all repair work myself. I can't afford a mechanic and I have enough tools in my toolbox to address minor issues like this. Any good links for dealing with steering and suspension replacement?

Not sure of any on here but it’s the same suspension as 1st gen Tacoma so you could check Tacomaworld. Lots of how tos over there for steering and suspension.
