I wish I could start this thread strong with what I have done but this is more of a convince me to keep it than get a Prinsu or SSO.
I’m sure some of the FJ peeps did some things so share those to help us out!

That is one of the ugliest and useless factory racks ever produced in the history of automobiles. Get rid of it!:gossip:

I wouldn't go by what others think. If you like it keep it. If you don't like it get rid of it.

Whatever you do, for heaven's sake don't attach any luggage to it. It's for aesthetic only. From the manufacturer recommendations:

The Prinsu rack is a piece of junk, but I’d gladly take it over the new TuRD Pro rack. It’s Pontiac Aztec level of fugly.

If you like it and aren't going to put anything above 100 pounds up there, keep it. If not, replace it. I have owned 2 FJ Cruisers and that is all they are good for.

Seems to be a worthless aesthetic add on if you are used to a rack worth a damn.
I am not impressed with reviews of Prinsu now that that CBI runs the show. I had a pre CBI Prinsu on my taco but now I really think the SSO is the way to go. I had a SSO slimline winch bumper on my taco and it was top of the line, I don’t see them slacking anywhere else.
