Final install. There’s a small gap about half an inch maybe on each side. Not sure if the pros have that or not so I cannot comment on that. Overall for the price it’s a nice product and got the results I was looking for.

I should have gotten the snorkel during the fest this weekend for $475 but I wasn’t sure then something came up and I have to go for an emergency errand and wasn’t able to buy it. There’s always a next time.

Looks great! How are the gaps on both sides? It hides better on the black and dark grey 4Runners.

Gaps aren’t bad, I had my center piece black satin vinyl wrapped prior and I just put the grille over top of it so it hides pretty well.

I guess if the gaps were too big someone could always put door edging on the end pieces...but not sure how stupid that would look. Works okay on custom grills overlays from what I've seen. I'd personally do away with the entire center bar entirely if there was a way to do it and make it a one piece grill....which I am sure there is if one has the time and desire to jump into the world of fabrications.

For that price it might be worth jumping on that band wagon. For the stock price, no way! Looks nice.

I would also do this conversion to be able to put a light bar in the upper section where it makes more sense to me.

Also, can you please post the link to it again, I went back a few pages and can't find it...thanks!

IMG_20190225_141054.jpg also, I got a new patch for the collection today, thought it was funny.
And got a ctek 7002 battery charger to keep in the 4. I don't think I am going to do a dual battery setup.
Instead, 1 agm with battery jump pack backup and a yeti 400 in the trunk with a second battery piggybacked to the yeti.
The yeti will charge off a fuse block and power a fridge. May throw a solar panel in there also. Hope it all works out. Will keep buying stuff as funds and sales present themselves

Took it to stealership for Zone B bag recall. Text from them said we need to have throttle body cleaned and p/s fluid change out to the tune of $357. Me? Bwaa!

A little before your next oil change, fill it up full of gas and put Amsoil P.I. in the tank. Beat it...lots of half to full throttle exceleration....throttle body and the entire fuel system is now cleaned. I do this before every oil change

The power steering is easy. I usually just empty the reservoir every few days and fill up with new fluid, rinse and repeat until fluid is consistently looking new.

I'm surprised they didn't tell you your brake fluid was looking dark. I have a 2016 and mine is almost needing to be changed already.

Yep, while having my air bag replaced I was told my brake fluid was looking dark and I should have it changed soon. There was one more fluid, I forgot which one, they said was looking old too.

My 50" LED bar got a little use on one of the back roads coming home tonight.

Tried to toggle between all the modes, but my dash cam is pedestrian so the difference is hard to pick up. I assure you the light is amazing.

Installed some 3.5" speakers in the dash; replaced front door speakers as well (just failed to take pictures of those). Also, a few days ago I put on my Rigid Spots that I'd taken off my taco (to explain why they're covered in road salt in this pic).

It wasn't too bad, but did take some cutting. From the original speaker bracket, I cut the one end off to use as a tab; so one end of the new speaker mounts to where the old bracket attached to the dash, and the other end onto the tab, then the other end of the tab to the dash. I also ended up having to shave down the ring on the underside of the grill as well.

It does sound way better now though. Much stronger and clearer vocals, and brought back a lot of lost detail. My benchmark song was the opening to "For You" by All That Remains; it sounded like it was playing out of paper cup before, but now it sounds legitimately proper.

I did the same in my taco. Put in components with crossovers, ran all new speaker wires to everything, aftermarket head unit, pair of amps (4 channel and a mono), sound deadening all over... not planning on going all out again with the 4runner. I think the dash and front door speaker swap is about the extent of what I want to do.

Nice, do you have the stock deck?
I would like to keep it as long as I can, I dont mind it, but I would like a bit better sound.
Debating what the first things to change should be, I was thinking front door speakers, or an under the seat sub.
