    Hello!
Just received two rebuilt front calipers I ordered and they look like this. I don't know enough mechanically to judge if they're crap or if they just looks like crap.

One has pinched seals and (looks like they put some seal a bit larger than needed)
    The other has painted seals.

Can I install them anyway? I'm afraid the paint may dry/use the seal and the pinched one may leak brake fluid..

    No.

if they can’t paint it correctly or put in a seal correctly what makes you think anything else they did is correct.

Toyota has a 25% off sale with free shipping over $75 going on now. Find a dealer that has a good price and get an extra 25% off and know you have good parts.

Those are dust boots. The seals responsible for keeping fluid in are further inside and sit in a groove in the bore.

The dust boot pinched under the wire clip is easy enough to re-seat with a pocket screwdriver. I had to do this with Powerstop calipers I installed two years ago.

What brand are the rebuilt calipers?

They're from BBB Industries (now Terrepower).

^Return/exchange the over-painted caliper because they re-used the old pistons. Pistons should have been replaced during reman:

I would fix the dust boots on the other caliper and run it. Pro-tip: hand check with a short wrench or ratchet all the bolts on the caliper are tight.

So, decided to send both of them back and just put some more sweat into replacing the 2 stuck pistons in my old calipers. Was trying to go the easy way with rebuilt/cheap calipers but hey, if you want something done right, do it yourself.

    Thanks all!

This is the perfect example of why I no longer use “rebuilt”. OEM only for me. I will hold onto my vehicles 15+ years and do all the work myself. Cheap Chinese parts only last a fraction of the time as OEM.

^Well, OP's 4R is 18 years old. Let's see if you still feel the same way in 2040, when your 2022 SR5 may be worth $9k.

@Djordhan: You'll want to check the 18 year-old caliper's bleeder can loosen, so you don't waste your time if it breaks off.

The OEMs aren’t exactly great quality since they freeze up frequently. A rebuilt is the same part and going to last just as long as OEM or maybe more since they seem to do a better job coating them.
