I have it in my Chevy truck. Stock screen uses font style and size that conveys more information and looks better. Apple Car play looks like a fuzzy child-play tablet on that screen. On my 4Runner, all SIRI functions become available at touch of a button on steering wheel, including receiving (Siri reads them too) and sending text messages. I don’t care if the screen looks like my phone. Designers design for each. Apple doesn’t design for auto screens.

you have to be an apple fan to really like carplay. it has little features as its main purpose is to reply texts and talk while driving :)

On my 2019 Limited, I press a button on the steering wheel, with my iPhone bluetoothconnected. A green microphone appears on the screen. I can have it read texts and send texts and make phone calls. Might be Siri operating behind the scenes.
