Anyone know what fits 2025 TRD sport premium? There’s one on Amazon I plugged in after getting a part number and it says it doesn’t fit, scroll down to the questions area and it says it fits. K&N…

Stock is cold air. Personally I would wait until AFE, Volant or S7B make something because K&N products are pretty much garbage.

Put one in my Taco. MPG increased by 4.6 as did horse power/pick up. And it sounds good. I’ve never heard of those other brands but I’ll take a look. Thx

Unlikely on the HP gain. This is just a nice thing to look and it does sound better but no gains on HP.

I'd like to see that dyno sheet. Maybe 2-4 horses right before it upshifts.

    Buddy owns a performance shop.
Buys cheap "performance" parts on Amazon instead of working with said buddy.
Doesn't understand that the computer-controlled boost pressure is likely the limiting factor for the 2.4t's power output.

So you're saying OP should wait for the bigger turbo to become available through JustDSM and do everything in one go?

    ^agree.

:bored: This is a technology or product that is on a "Belief based" system. In other words, you have to believe that the gains are there, else it won't work:bananadead:. I give credit to the guys at K&N for the marketing efforts and getting all the youtubers doing videos and measurements on gains/mpg stuff, you know, they put on a good show there. But let's be real guys and OP....you don't get HP for a couple of hundred bucks. The exhaust vendors are also there, pushing gains and crap when there isn't any. In any event, let's not be too hard with our guys that want to put on a nice box and fancy filter. To each their own. :llama:

Said buddy hasn’t worked on the new runners. And k&n sells on Amazon. The part is composed of the same materials and configured in the same fashion as any other, Copernicus. You can’t ask a simple fucking question anywhere on the internet these days without high school drop outs weighing in.

Do whatever you want, it's your truck.

You asked a question, then argued about the answers you were getting with unsubstantiated claims. That's usually when the riff raff comes in.

Serious note: I'm curious what a dyno run would show with / without any air filter. The way modern cars are designed, I don't think the air filter / air box is the limiting factor.

It appears you found just the fight you were looking for.

Or are we to believe this is your first "cold air" intake discussion in the internet and you just have a short fuse?

    I don't think so.

That’s the dog’s name in Back to The Future when Marty travels back to 1955. Its name was Einstein in 1985. Pizza trivia night FTW!

But in 2025 you think an intake will do much of anything besides make noise. Even the Trailblunder makes the same power with the dorkal.

Wasn't Copernicus like an astronomer or something? I'm not even sure how calling someone Copernicus is a slur.

On that note, the moon was extremely red tonight.

    Also, in for dyno sheet.

Just looked him up, Copernicus was the first guy that postulated the sun was at the center of our solar system instead of (as thought before) the earth.

That’s a little nugget of knowledge for the day. What a great forum this is.

If the mpg and hp gains were possible with just a new intake and filter then why wouldn’t Toyota do this themselves? You don’t think they have tried to milk as much mpg and hp out of the vehicle as possible?

The only difference you will notice with such filters is the sound increase at WOT. That and the fact that it can be reusable, washable may be the only benefits here. Looks wise, nobody will look under your hood and say wow! The performance gains are all in your head, even if the dyno shows any types of increase, you will never actually feel it, it's really not substantial at all!
