    hey kmeeg, thanks for your details. I’m curious, did you have the factory x-reas before going to the Ironman FCP?
    Are you suggesting the ride is stiffer with the Ironman now? Do you notice more or less roughness with roadway bumps or gravel washboard, and is there more or less body roll now? Thanks for any feedback. I started watching your review video but haven’t had time to finish.

    Yes sir, I had XREAS. I had the 4x4 shop remove XREAS. Per the 4WD shop the stock XREAS shock does not support more than 1in lift. I think I removed it less than 1000miles if I'm not mistaken.

    Pavement -
    What I noticed was XREAS capable of handling bump and potholes on pavement extremely well compared to anything I have experienced. That includes TRD Pro Fox, Bilstien5100, OME Nitro Sports, this Ironman FCP and stupid expensive Elka 2.5DC among few 4Runners I had and have. I may have liked the way XREAS absorb bumps more than Mecedes GLS at normal drive mode (medium height) I drove recently.

    Gravel -
    I haven't driven XREAS hard as if did with Ironman FCP. So I cannot really say much about XREAS gravel road performance. Ironman FCP did a decent job in gravel, but no match for high end shocks like ELKA 2.5DC.

    thank you for the quick reply!

    I guess I’m looking for something that won’t be too disappointing on pavement when moving away from x-reas on my wife’s 4runner. It sounds like there might be a leak in the system (she is away and I haven’t seen it) and I’m trying to decide what system to replace it with that will be as close as possible to on-road performance while slightly improving off road and gravel/washboard driving.

    When I'm ready to upgrade my TRD Pro suspension I'm looking at Old Man Emu BP51.
    The reason is;
    - It allows to adjust both mid compression and rebound.
    - Reviews say it can be adjusted to dangerously softer levels. Seems like perfect for my taste to have softer ride. I will see what is the softest that is not dangerously too soft.

    Con;
    - adjustability is a pain in the A/"rear"
    - realistically not able to rebuild. So after spending lot of money when its time to service looking at buying new.

    What did you end up lifting this overall? 3” front 2” rear? Or are the ome 2889 3” rear? Looks awesome! I am going to do very similar to my 2020 nightshade!
