Has anyone ordered a hood shield from Husky since they inherited the AVS line? I'm interested in the model that secures to the bottom of the hood rather than the model that is taped to the top. Also curious if there has been any design changes since they took over the line, as I've read about fitment issues with the AVS version, specifically the unit being too thick to fit through the gap between the hood and grille. Also, what are your thoughts on medium vs high profile? Anyone have pics of their Husky shield installed?

The models I'm looking at are:
    Medium profile #2813071
    High Profile #2815053

I ordered mine from 4runnerlifestyle. https://www.4runnerlifestyle.com/products/avs-bugflector-ii-hood-shield I liked that style way better than the one that stuck to the hood.

That’s the one I have on mine. Had it on my ‘21 also. Easy fit, looks good. No complaints.

Installed the AVS one in Dec. P/N 23071 which appears to be now 2813071: https://www.4runners.com/posts/679678

From the pictures, "medium" and "high" profile are the same height, but "high" version has more unsupported length extending over the fenders.

Instructions say to raise the hood bumpers 1.5 turns to account for the extra thickness, but I didn't have to do that. The included urethane bumpers were too small to do anything, so I left them off. The deflector is stiff enough to not blow back against car wash blowers.

Mine wore paint off the upper grill. Took it off.
