Hey i’m new to the forum and I created a account just to see if anyone else have had this issue with their 5th gen Limited dual zone climate system. When I let my 4Runner sit for a couple hours and then go to start it up. I try to turn on my AC but it doesn’t do anything for a about 5-10 seconds and none of the lights are on, than when it does turn on its set to 75 degrees when I had it at Lo before turning my truck off

Similar problems. Climate control is “off” after starting up and will only turn on if turned on manually. Almost seems as though it loses the memory of the last state when turned off. Toyota dealer has not seen this before. Diagnosing $$$. Trial and error part swapping???

2018 4Runner Limited 4x4, Mine has just started doing this exact same thing about two weeks ago. Took it to my local Toyota dealer and they have not seen this before so they waived the $135 diagnostic fee and stated they don't see any codes and sent me on my way. Mine does not have any display on the climate screen for a full minute after start up, then it will display the face vent icon. Once I see that icon I can manually start up the fan and the temp is automatically set at 75 degrees.

It doesn't do anything until compressor pressure builds and it actually gets to a temperature it doesn't mind blowing on you. I think that a politeness thing.

I've had this 2018 4runner limited 4x4 for 5yrs and this problem just started two weeks ago? In the past, as soon as I started the vehicle, the a/c or whatever climate control was selected last would automatically come on without having to wait a full minute regardless if it was A/C, heat or outside air vent....
