Took it up Red and White road above Vail, then down Muddy Creek, which is barely wide enough to make it down (next time I'll bring a chainsaw, just in case). Thought I'd gotten my first racing stripes/paint chips, but turned out to just be aspen bark smudges.

Then I spent today cleaning off 6" of very fine colorado red dust from the outside...and the inside...and everywhere else you can imagine.

It may be dust instead of mud, but I think it's a good christening. Best part was getting on I-70 afterwards and seeing a several hundred foot long rooster tail of dust as I accelerated.

Oh, and yes, twice those handles helped :)

And confirmed that the hybrid is the way to go - it was a beast going up I-70...I could pass pretty much anyone I wanted on any part of the hill, and mostly just feathered the accelerator....it'd actually go faster than I wanted or felt safe.

Really digging that Mudbath color actually! So what exactly does that "trailer" button next to the camera view button used for?

Its the Trailer Backup guide button. From the manual:

Trailer Backup Guide is a system to assist when backing up a trailer by providing either (1) steering control to assist backing up straight
(Straight Path Assist) or (2) guidance for manual steering backup (Guidance mode). Trailer Backup Guide uses the rear camera to detect the trailer and a trailer hitch light, which allows the driver to use the system at night time. The system calculates the trailer angle by image processing from the rear camera and calculates trailer length and hitch length during the trailer setup (calibration) maneuver.

Make sure you check out or replace your battery filters in the cargo area. They accumulate dust really quick.... Picking some up tomorrow from my trip at the Canyon this weekend. So does the cabin filter. Had to replace that at 5K.

I knew about the vents, but not the filters…good call. I’ll pop them all open tomorrow and see how bad things look…I may have to replace the engine one at a minimum.
