Hello from NW Ohio

Long time Toyota owner. This is finally mine to drive after two teenage boys learned how to drive. A few bumpers replaced, aftermarket radio and new alloy wheels for the girl. She turned over 300,000 miles in December. Suspension is riding rough so will be looking to do some work there. A/C stopped working, looking for help there. Recently the rear gate power lift stopped working and will be looking to replace that. Any help or suggestions would be helpful.

Welcome Jeremy. Gorgeous '05 4Runner.. I once had an '05 Tundra that I bought new at Jim White Toyota in Toledo, the same color (or close to) as your burgundy 4Runner. I had it for 6 months and a young kid rammed me hard in the right side when he ran a red light. I was sore for a while but got through it. The kid was hospitalized with injuries, he got hauled off in an ambulance. He wasn't wearing a seat / shoulder belt! They totaled my new Tundra. I went back to Jim White Toyota and bought myself a new 2006 Tundra, silver this time. I kept that '06 Tundra until November of 2023, when I sold it to get my 2022 4Runner SR5 Premium 4WD. Point being- those '05 era 4Runners and Tundras were great machines.

You and I must have been practically "neighbors" at one time. I am originally from Ottawa Lake, Michigan in SE MI, just 5 miles north of Sylvania, OH and the Ohio / Michigan state line. I lived and farmed right near the expressway US 23 at Exit 5.

My wife and I moved to central Texas in 2013, to the so-called Texas Hill Country, approx. 25 miles northwest of Austin.

Anyways, just thought it was cool you're from northwest Ohio, my old stomping grounds in general. I can't help but notice that big corn stubble field behind your 4Runner! Do you farm? Again, welcome!
