It's been bugging me for a while now but I think it's time to do something about it. The OEM cargo cover sucks. There are gaps in the front and rear that allow you to see your stuff. Does anyone have suggestions on a different cover or have mods they have done to the OEM cover? I have looked at Raingler but I can't use the rear hooks because of my OEM Audio subs which are pretty much in the way of anything that uses those rear hooks. I have been thinking about ditching them but the JB sub box is pricey at the moment.

Does anyone have experience with something like this option? Also saw this option.

looks like you are not alone in the coverage are lacking observation:

seems the reclining seats are the reason for the gap in the front .

a solution like this would help with the front gap (similar to OP first link):
    https://ikonmotorsports.com/products/fits-10-21-toyota-4runner-rear-cargo-security-trunk-cover-black

and it seems the aftermarket is solving the problem with a flap to the seats and a larger flap to the rear hatch:

another interesting possible solution was this (yeah those rear hooks might be a challenge for OP):
    https://www.amazon.com/Trunk-Security-Toyota-4Runner-2003-2024/dp/B0CKPVYQYD/

and of course depending on what you are storing.. perhaps the drawer solution is the right path?

It's the lower rear hooks that are blocked. At some point I'd like a drawer system but Goose Gear seems to be the only one that doesn't use turnbuckles to tie the front (from the rear) section down using those tie down points.

Can you see it from outside the vehicle? Tint the rear windows and hatch. It's not a seal, just a cover to eliminate outside looky-loos. I wanted one, but I'm going to tint rear windows, hatch, maybe rear door glass and it will make the other windows darker and you can still see out of the driver and passenger glass better. I just found a reasonable price below.

Looked at that one myself but have ready they are kinda crappy. Still may try.

I wasn't looking to tint my windows at or or much more because of the factory smoked glass. I like to use my windows.

Just recline the back seats a little. With the OEM cover in place on my 15 there is no way to see "stuff" from the lift gate window or any other window.

I too solve the gap behind the rear seats by reclining the rear seats.

I keep old towels and a large dark green tablecloth folded in rear to cover stuff. Sure the lumps are a givaway that somethings covered up, but I try not to park where break-ins are common.
