2018 4Runner voice assistant keeps telling me to give it a voice command. It repeats this very minute or so. Sometimes the screen becomes unresponsive for 10 seconds or so. I have disconnected the battery overnight and this does not fix it. I have tried soft reloads to no avail. I have disconnected all bluetooth connections to no avail.

    Has anybody experienced this symptom?

Any suggestions to make this problem go away?

I would be ok just to disable the voice assistant, however not sure how to do that.

Is the button on the steering wheel stuck?

    Oooh look, another mod.....

To disable voice commands on a 2018 Toyota 4Runner, you'll need to adjust the voice settings within the vehicle's multimedia system. You can either turn off voice prompts entirely or adjust the volume of the prompts.
Here's how to disable or adjust voice commands:
    1. Access the Multimedia System: Navigate to the "Setup" menu on your vehicle's touchscreen.
    2. Find Voice Settings: Look for and select the "Voice" or "Voice Settings" option within the setup menu.
    3. Adjust or Disable Prompts:
      • To turn off voice prompts, look for an option like "Voice Prompts" or "Voice Guidance" and set it to "Off" or adjust the volume to the lowest setting.
      • You can also adjust the volume of voice commands by using a slider or selecting a specific volume level.
