Has anyone applied ceramic or specifically Xpel fusion ceramic to B pillars that are black on the doors by windows?

Gosh this is a cheap plastic it seems. I see a few blemishes only in certain light conditions. I’m not sure it’s the way it’s made or just cheap.

A detailer near me suggested considering Xpel fusion ceramic on these with the hope to add protection and prevent sun fading.

I’ve never used a ceramic product and just curious if anyone else has used something on these pillars?

I wish it was th shiny piano black gloss finish like my other cars.

    Appreciate anyone’s insight

Used ceramic and graphene on all plastic. Still fades over time but takes awhile.

Thanks guys I am trying to disguise a few white marks I see in mine only in certain bright sun or fluorescent lights.

This is a brand new 2024 and spent the winter in the garage. I am thinking it’s an imperfection as I got it with 1 mile on it last year and basically stored it till spring.

A detail shop suggested the new ceramic Xpel trim and plastic and said maybe it would disguise it maybe. I am on fence and just exploring ideas

Awesome suggestions, I need to pick up the wipes and see the improvements.

@mac1usa I just bought the Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coat and haven't used it yet. I would like to know how it comes out on your side pillars. I bought mine for the rear bumper, tops of my running boards (Limited), and the engine covers.

I am debating what product to use to be honest if anything. A few friends in my area have these faint lines in their 4Rs and some speculate it’s from injection molding when made. If I try anything I am think a protectant type product since mine are new versus a restore type product.

My understanding is that Cerakote is more of a restore type product for something already sun faded.

I’d like to see some real world results of the Xpel ceramic trim and plastic protectant. So far I cannot find much on the inet.

I may try that Cerakote on my accord wipers though.

Years ago I used back to black on an Explorer and that worked to restore the depth of the black plastic. But after a few washes or rains it was gone. It was a pia to apply all the time

Worked great on my side pillars. Also used on mud flaps, rear bumper, on either side of the rear window, trim on and around rearview mirrors, and on TRD Pro grille. It's held up great for 10 months. Haven't had to re-apply yet, even after A LOT of car washes. I used 3 of the 10 included wipes.
