I cracked an ear off the plastic engine oil filter housing and I want to swap to the metal one next time. Which filter for the metal one? 4 or 5?

Same filter. I’d just get another plastic and the correct tool for removal.

Just wanted to make a comment on this.

When i had the original plastic one, it would always get stuck on, even though i torqued to spec. Both times truck ended up at my mechanic who had to use heat.

Since moving to metal (at the time only Dorman was available), no issues.

I heard the metal one from a Camry is meant to fit once you change the stand pipe.
