Purchased a 2025 4Runner Off Road Premium in April. It replaced a 2003 Sequoia we had also purchased new. Just completed a 5,000 mile road trip from NW WA to San Antonio and back. All the new computerized stuff took getting used to but we are happy with the vehicle. No issues with anything so far. We have never got less than 20mpg and had a high of 24.6mpg during the trip. Temperatures ran from the 50s at home to 102 degrees in NM. This is shaping up to be as good or better as any other Toyota I have owned or had experience with.

    That very good mpg.
Vs my 5th gen with over size tires, skids, sliders with 5 people + 1 dog + carrying a roof cargo box only gave 17.94mpg for 856.4 miles via i70 mountain highway.May have improved if there were no crazy long engine idle times on memorial weekend on national parks. Didn't want to turn off the engine since we have the dog in the back. Also had bad weather when we return back to Denver.

Our Sequoia had leather seats. Wasn't sure if I would like the SofTex seats coming from the leather ones in the Sequoia but they are comfortable and ventilated. Ventilated seats are something new to us. Probably most useful when getting into a hot vehicle before the A/C gets going. We hit 100+ temps on our trip. Plenty of leg room but at 5'7" and an even 5" we don't need much. We have also had three adults in back a few times and they were fine, at least for short trips. At the end of the day during our trip we were tired of course but not because of any shortfall on the vehicle's part but simply because it was a long day in the saddle. I know some don't like the noise of the new I-Force Turbo engine but I found it no noisier than a Camary we once had and you really only hear the extra noise under acceleration. The ride was not as smooth as our Sequoia but that was designed as an occasional off road vehicle while the 4Runner is a much more off road capable vehicle. The ride was somewhere between our Sequoia and our lifted Chev 2500HD with its 8 ply meats. The ride was not uncomfortable but we are used to trucks and she had no problem dozing off as we rolled along in the middle of nowhere.

I started looking end of January. Dealers we purchased from here in FL, would not deal on the 6th Gen, and one added $5K to the MSRP. I did find what we needed beginning of March. VIN: JTEVA5BR2S5004371, #8672A. Louisville, KY, 944 miles from our. home in central FL, scheduled to build same month.
After the boat ride to Portland, processing, then transportation. This is 7th 4R since 2008. No complaints.
