Just bought a stock 2010 4runner sr5 4WD with 92k miles. Looking to add running boards (PT925-89110-AA) for my daughter. However it has stock rocker panels that utilize the bolts needed for running boards. They might be considered ‘extended’ rocker panels. How can I add these running boards and keep current rocker panels? Is there modified brackets out there? Any insight would be appreciated.

I think it's one or the other. Try removing one side and seeing what it looks like with the new running board on. I think it will take up the space that the faux rocker panels occupy.

    Your choices are:

    1. Replace your rocker panels with the ones from a Trail model of your year. You can then use the mounting holes for running boards.
    2. Find running boards with longer brackets that are designed for your SR5/Limited model.
