I've recently had to move on from my 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and picked up a 2018 SR5 Premium at the end of June. I've been driving a Rubicon of some type for the last 15 years (and Jeeps in general for about 25 years at this point), so this is going to be a big change for me, but it's going to be fun learning about a new vehicle. I spend most of my free time hiking, backpacking, rafting, photographing and just exploring the backcountry surrounding my home in western Colorado and would rather be outside hiking instead of working on my vehicle, so this will most likely turn out to be a thread of photos from the places my 4Runner has taken me more than a typical build thread.

Here's a photo of the 4Runner from the week I picked it up.

Within the first two weeks I've added a few quick things including rock rails, remote start, cargo tray and a 27F AGM battery to power my fridge. I typically sleep in the back when I am out exploring alone, so my main concentration at first will be on organizing my gear and other interior additions.

This past weekend I remove the 2nd and 3rd row seats as I prepare to install and build a sleeping platform and storage drawer over the next few weeks...

After my backpacking plans on the Colorado Trail fell through over the holiday weekend, I decided to take the new 4Runner over Stony Pass near Silverton to see how it does offroad. We were greeted with amazing conditions on the morning of Independence Day!
