Have LIMITED 4RUNNER on order hopefully receive Aug/Sept. Drive Texas to Florida approximately 10 times a year. Do lots of Interstate driving. Much prefer my 4Runner to make drive over Limited Taco ‘23 as more comfortable on road.
My question is the new LIMITEDS (non-hybrid) better driving/more comfortable driving than the ‘23? REALLY interested in someone who has driven the new Limited 4RUNNER On the road. At 77 off-road is no interest. Only interested in rain, sand, and snow all very near road.

Have ‘23 TRD ORP with 60k that I’m keeping for second car and trading Limited ‘23 TACO with 15k. DRIVEN TRD’s for 30 years and tired of PU’s. Can always rent a trailer at Home Depot.
By the way both will bring within a couple of thousand of what paid new 2 years ago.

I test drove one at the dealer
Yes the Limited 4R rides nice and handles nice
I have (2) 5th gen Limited with Xreas and love them and how they handle
I like the new 6th gen Limited in almost every way possible except a few small quirks and the price. The ride is nice, the cabin is relatively quiet, the seats feel great, the dash is nice and new and modern.
I like it a lot and i am sure you will too, i also drive the roads a ton and put a lotta miles on vehicles so i can also appreciate a nice comfortable fit.

I don't find my Limited to be especially comfortable and all reviews said that 6th Gen Limited is more of the same. I understand why this is the case, as this is body-on-frame truck that is designed for offroading.

If you are shopping for a vehicle for long highway drives, I would recommend looking at Highlander. Better gas mileage, more comfortable ride.

Check your tire pressures, most are over inflated and cause a harsh ride.
You can lower those skinny tires down to about 28-30 to keep the tread flat on the ground and the ride is much nicer. Also, aftermarket tires ride worlds better than the OEM. I put on Load Range D tires on my 20" wheels and they rode softer than the OEM tires. The OEM tires rode more like a Load range E.

I DO AGREE, the highlander is a "nicer" and "larger" interior space and has very nice road manners and better fuel mileage. And for a 77yo, its lower to the ground and easier to climb in and out.

I think aftermarket tires are a smart idea. I would read reviews and ask online about P rated Touring Tires m&s rated. If snow and sand traction is needed often then perhaps All Season P rated would be good. I do not know what is standard on the new Limited-might be excellent tires for your needs. Plus no new project to manage & spend money on. A dealer might even upgrade your tires as part of the purchase-if you idenify a tire better than stock!

We have a Highlander and 4Runner Limited. I'm sure an AWD Highlander would fit the bill for you.
