Wrecked my girl back in December.

Wasn't terrible, but thought I'd share the footage.

It was my fault. This is a highway with little room for error when you pull off. You see a car stop short in front of the service truck and he in turn had his rear end hanging into the right lane of the highway. The lady in front of me stopped in time, but I made a mistake. I got caught trying to check over my shoulder to see if I could get around it and didn't leave myself enough time or space to get stopped.

Fair warning for sensitive ears...I do drop an F-bomb right after it happens....sorry...not sorry.

Anyone else got interesting dash cam footage?

EDIT: The time stamp is off. The wreck did happen in december.

    The same 4Runner everyone has
It takes a big man to acknowledge his mistake. It takes an even bigger man to upload a video, identify the root cause, demonstrate ownership of the problem, and identify how the problem can be avoided by others in the future. You didn't try to weasel or shift blame. The planet needs more people with fortitude like that.

Good on you. Thanks for sharing and hope you get fixed up soon!

    That hood bend!

    Ouch!

Props to you on posting a vid and owning up to your mistake!

People tell me I’m not aggressive enough behind the wheel because I don’t follow nuts to butts however, this is a prime example of why I don’t follow close.

Shit happens fast and stopping 5k lbs isn’t an easy task. Trust me, I know.
