Got a tad too level / squatty for me in the rear towing my boat or camper, which I do one or the other weekly. Previously Dobinsons 300 front and 599 rear. Bumped the rear up to a 505 and now have about 1.5" of rake. I like rake much more than level or rear squat.

Tossed on some 285/70-17 Wildpeak AT3s today as well. -18 mm offset wheels. Love the stance and look.

I did a BMC and bumper trim as well. No rubbing. I will be welding on a panhard correction bracket shortly as the axle is slightly offset to the passenger side and bar is not level as expected.

    Coming along!

Looks good. There's a reason Toyota engineers design rake into the 4Runner.

Agreed! Not sure what the obsession is with the levelling, but to each their own!

    Lookin real good!

Having gone from no rake to proper rake by using spacers on the same springs was very eye opening. The ride feels a lot more comfortable, planted, balanced and with proper rake. When the back end is too low, it feels wallowy and rear-heavy, even without carrying extra weight around.

I think you may have that backwards. The weld on kit is 1 piece. The KDSS is multiple bolted together and over 2x the cost. And I like welding :)

I do believe the rake is for aerodynamics as they could have leveled it and put on a large air dam, a la Ford, or rake with a minimal air dam. It does look good.

    What are those rims?
