I now have 5k on my new 24 ORP .When I first shift into reverse the rear suspension or wheel groans, the rear again groans when I then shift back into drive, the dealer states that some do that and I just got a squeaky one .So there must be some owners that are experiencing the same event.so has anyone ever figured out what is making that sound or am I getting gaslighted

take it to a different dealership or local shop that knows 4x4s. Maybe check the rear diff fluid level for SAG’s.

Mine does this too. Ive never been concerned. Doesn't do it all the time. Only sometimes.

Edit: to me it sounds like creaking emanating from the brakes as the drive drain torque's slightly from on rotation to another; drive/reverse.

I think is the drive shaft that you hear. Mine does it as well every time. I would make sure these are greased properly but expect the noise will continue though. It's normal IMO.80061109-D7D4-4F4E-AFC6-FB3CA6A0570D.jpg

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
I'm going to presume #5 is the one down in the place where the yoke is. You should give it the 4-5 pumps then LOOK to see if any grease is coming out from the yoke. If it is, stop. If not, give a few more pumps. Before the grease comes out it'll make a crackling noise. This is perfectly normal. Yes, if grease comes out, it'll make a slight mess above the drive shaft, as it spins the excess grease off the outside, but a quick wipe will deal with it.' Grease the whole drive shaft twice a year, spring and fall. Make sure to include the forward going drive shaft. Your drive shaft and yokes will last a lot longer, and your truck will love you for it.

Change the oil out of the 3rd member every 4-5 years. Make sure it's breather is functioning correctly every spring and fall. That's very important!]

I recently (4 years ago?) sold my 87 4Runner. It still had the original drive shaft, end to end, in it. Granted, only 150-ish thousand miles on it but still...
My 87 Hilux pickup, 325000 miles, has had to have the yokes replaced 5 times so far. No zerts on it, though. Think about it.

    Pat☺
