I just installed Freedom OffRoad upper and Lower Control Arms on the 2019 4Runner and now having a bunch of light on the dash light up!
Install went fairly smoothly but there is the 4Wheel Drive, traction control, electronic power steering, brake and one lore light all on.
I am taking it in first thing Monday to get alignment as well as check all the lights out.
What could be triggering a total Christmas tree on the dash? What wires could I have screwed up?
    Anyone else ever experience this?

^You probably damaged one of the front wheel speed sensor wires. You know, the one that runs from the sensor in the knuckle up the UCA to a connector on the frame. Do a visual inspection for obvious damage. If none found, then you'd need to plug in an OBD2 scan tool and see which of the two sensors (left front or right front) is giving the error. Damaged sensor or wire disables 4WD, traction control, ABS, and VSC (something to keep mind if an errant twig pokes it on the trail). There's no electronic power steering in this vehicle.

agreed on wire damage (stretched or pinched) or not properly clipped in.

Thanks for the advice! I’m taking it in for an alignment first thing Monday and hope it’s a quick sensor fix.

^Good luck! A replacement wheel speed sensor wire is about $40 on Rock Auto so probably around $80 locally. Inexpensive lesson.

If it fails on its own its the sensor. If the failure happens right after working on it almost always the sensor harness that damaged. Its thin wires and people tendntk over stretch the harness because they don't unplug it and get it out of the way before starting work.

Perhaps you could provide a little more background information as to the LCA and UCA replacement. Why replace both? Most do the UCA, but replacing both is rare. Is there a lift being worked around here, and what other work could possibly have contributed to the dash light scenario? I know you said it happened right after that replacement happened, but possibly something else might have affected the dash lights appearing. You also mentioned in another thread that the wipers/washer were malfunctioning (there was no resolution posted), so I assume you purchased this 2019 4R used...?

The car was pulling slightly to the right. The car was aligned. Two shops said it was due to a bad LCA on the right. I installed a 2.7 inch lift Bilstein 6112’s (last year). the Freedom Off Roads were made for a 2-4” lift to correct anatomy. Since I was replacing the LCA’s I figure why not do the UCA’s as well.

Getting the passenger side UCA bolt out and back in was a nightmare.
Other than that UCA bolt on the right side things went fairly smooth.

the wiper switch and wiper motor is good and fuses are good. Still intermittently happening on occasion where the wiper turn on. ??? Relay? Short?

Stock lower control arms are good parts (and expensive)unless they have worn out bushings or the alignment cams have siezed into them. If they’re fairly new/low-mileage, I’d personally not throw them out.

Hopefully your problem is just the sensor wiring. There might be an off chance that the code was due throwing off the zero point of the steering. If it’s that, it might require a trip to the dealer to recalibrate it.

They had 95k miles on them. God willing it’s not the steering point alignment since it was a fairly mild lift and UCA upgrade. The LCA from freedom off road looked fairly identical the OEM’s.
Guess I’ll hope it the sensor and or wire. I’ll find out in the morning I suppose either way.

Only 95k? I replaced the original lca’s on my 2011 SR5 when they hit 167,000 along with original inner/outer tie rods.

I bets its only a damaged sensor wire.

Update. Mechanic said both ABS sensors were throwing codes which is strange. He suggested I order two new AbS sensor wires harnesses and replace both. I have a hard time thinking both were damaged but at $35 each I guess I will start there. Mechanically they said everything is good.

if it’s not the ABS sensor what else could
It be? What could be causing both to throw codes. The driver side went especially smooth on the install. The passenger side UCA bolt was a huge pain in the arse to remove.

The Runner now has Bilstein 6112’s, FREEDOM Off Road upper and Lowe Control arms with Freedom sway bar end links and the suspension feels great!
