2022 4Runner “dried water run mark” in headlights

I just picked up a 2023 SR5P last week and I noticed this right away. The "block" is more visible on the driver's side headlamp vs. the passenger. It is driving me crazy and I wish I hadn't seen it.

 

yeah, it’s by design. You can make it somewhat less apparent by aiming your headlights a little higher. The flattened angle will diffuse the sharpness of the block. My headlights seemed to be aimed too low from the factory, so who knows if these blocks were never meant to be so obvious. My OCD found the blocks acceptable after I aimed them properly.

 

one of the "blocks" disappeared on my headlights a few months ago.. no clue... other is still present though

 

I really hate to revive an old thread but I have a 24 ORP that I got in JAN 2024. Other month I saw I had the streaks inside the headlights along the top. You can't tell unless you're looking for them. Being that I wash/wax my own vehicle and get really close, I see them. Dealer warrantied them. New set, same thing. Doesn't affect output at all, just annoying that I know where it's at and my eyes go straight to it now.

Is this the issue that even the new lenses had?

 

I believe so. I’ve looked at other 4Runners in parking lots and have seen this. Not on mine yet, but will check once a week. South Florida, we’re getting alot of rain and it’s Dewey every morning. Always wet
