After completely rebuilding my engine. I go to start it and it starts for two seconds then shuts off. Christa scanner app says all six ingnition spark coils have faults. I reset the faults and try it again same thing. Starts sounds good two seconds later shuts down. Same codes. ??? Any advice is appreciated

Sounds a bit like something electrical isn't hooked up?

Everything is hooked up believe me. Ive been staring at this engine for months now. I press the start button. It says fault cam sensor bank one A. Cam sensor bank oneB. Ig ition coil 1. Ignition coil2. I clear the faults. Press the start button again. It says. All cam sensors fault all cliner ingnition coils fault. Clear faults. Back to what it said first time. Over and over 10000x. I get frustrated forget about it for a month. Come back same thing again by the way. It starts every time. Sounds fine for two seconds then computer shuts it down. So there is spark going to all cylinders until computer shuts them down

So, you are just doing the same thing over and over and not addressing the code faults?

Could cam timing be off? Or would it not start at all? Did you rebuild the engine or have a shop do it? What did you do for the rebuild? Why did you do the rebuild?

Someone once convinced me that I must have installed the timing chain off by a link or two so I took the timing cover off and reset the chains. Same problem exactly. The chain links are color coded. Yellow and orange. Marks on phasers bank one and two. You tube videos show the links and marks. You have to be drunk or high not to do it right

Man brother. I can’t offer any help but admire your dedication and determination. I’ve been there where you are literally just staring at it totally stumped.

Going out on a limb. Is there anything with the ECM or theft deterrent system potentially causing this.

I'll look into that. I don't know anything about anti theft system. It just starts for two seconds and shuts off. I got new plugs and cam sensors. A mechanism says look for a ground wire that's not bolted to chassis. Irregularity in voltage due to. Bad ground can cause crazy problems. I've started at this engine so many hours looking for something. I'll post pics of the fault codes on carista app later today

I feel ya brother. I wished I could offer you some advice. It running good for 2 seconds makes me wonder if that’s the anti theft system. I had a Honda that got a new engine and it had to be “paired” with the ecm.

I finally realized my problem the #6 cylinder. Four wire coil plug. Was torn off then I pulled the engine. I soldered the wires back but couldn't tell the right colors because the wires were pulled out at the plug. I went in line and got information as to how to test each one for ground or voltage and must have made a mistake. I unplugged it from the coil and started it up on 5 cylinders and it stayed running. Evidently having one wire crossed up threw codes to computer that made no sense to it. I'm very happy now

Good deal, congratulations. First thing I think of when that happens is "why didn't I find that before I spent (insert time frame) searching..."

Glad you pinpointed this. I felt it had to be a connection or pulled wire issue.
