When the AC is working it blows ice cold, but when the AC light starts blinking it blows warm. I took my 4Runner to Toyota. They did a diagnostic of the whole system. They said it had to be the AC switch, but unfortunately Toyota no longer makes that replacement. I found the whole front panel with all three round controls on Ebay. It worked fine for a few weeks. Last night the AC light started blinking again and not blowing cold. I'm wondering if it might be the Mode Damper Servo Sub-assy or the Damper Servo Sub-assy. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I had the A/C blinking light issue on my 2014 Tacoma (sold). Replaced the relay, didn't fix it. Was very sporadic though... would work fine for 3 months, then one day it would just blink and blow ambient temperature air. All i ever did was just press the A/C button on/off and it would usually go back to working correctly for another "X" amount of time.

Long story short, this is a fairly common problem on the Tacomas (at least 2nd gens), you may try searching TacomaWorld.com for solutions. I never found a solid fix for mine and now i don't own it anymore... but could be a good place to start.
