I lost the master key to my 2000 4runner. I had to move it so my friend drilled out the ignition and he broke the lighted ring that goes around it. This reads the keys transponder signal turns off the security system and allows you to start the truck. I found the key so I just need to replace the ring (not just the bulb) I can't find it anywhere or even a part number HELP PLEASE

I think this might be the part # you're looking for but I'm getting a bunch of "discontinued" results.
You may have to roll the dice on scrap yards or overseas if this is what you are after.

Thank you for the number and yes it has been discontinued. I asked the local dealership parts guy if he could locate one for me but he said "no" try junk yards. You'd think that they'd have all access to parts at any other store. Oh well so the hunt begins

They do have access. You hit the guy on a bad day. I could get locations of parts back in 1995 from Ford for anywhere in the country.

I knew that he could've looked it up but I was thinking that I could do it myself. Toyota has a website for parts and I found 2, both in Japan. I'll solve this soon and I'll post updates. This was the 2nd time I was LIED TO by a person at the dealership. I love my Toyota but not the way the dealerships act toward you if you have a 25 yr old vehicle. Sorry just a little ranting.
