I am considering this mount based on forum recommendations. For those that run this, is it beefy enough to take minor hits. On the site it mentions Warn 10k winches. Will I have issues fitting a 12k Badlands winch? I also have a Eibach stage 2 lift set at 2 inches in the front. Will turning the collar but enough for any sag? Thanks in advance.

You can start by finding out whether the badland’s winch control relay can be relocated off the winch body, then find out how much space the SDHQ’s winch cradle has.

Badlands control box can be mounted separately. SDHQ does not list cradle dimensions. They only display photo of the Warn 10k mounted. Based on that looks like an inch space on either ends.

I ran two of these on two different 5th gens. No longer have a 5th gen or a SDHQ setup.

Having said that, they are a stout bumper and will take hits with the caveat that the plastic bumper skin obviously sits over top of the SDHQ bumper so if you "take a hit" you will damage the OEM plastics.

Can't comment on the Badlands fitment. I ran a WARN 8K and found it to be adequate and it fit fine with control pack moved up slightly to allow for the AC line.

I doubt you will have to touch your coilovers. I ran mine on a pretty basic suspension lift and I did not see any obvious sag up front. If you are running synthetic line you are only really adding like 80 lbs to the front since you pull off some heavy shit to install the SDHQ.

I appreciate the response. I live in the rust belt. Trying to avoid the cost of an aluminum bumper. I figure the oem plastic would help shield direct salt contact on the winch mount.

Yes, same here. Ohio. I saw no appreciable rust on anything SDHQ during my ownership of the most recent 4R; which was 3 years (2 of which were in Ohio, 1 in California).
