Just dropped my truck off to get detailed and a ceramic coating. They will have it for a few days and can’t wait to see it when it’s done. (I’ll post a picture when I pick it up). What are yalls experiences with having a ceramic coating done? Do you think it was worth it? Just curious :)

I do the paint correction and coating myself, so totally worth it.

Yes, its worth it. It keeps you from getting swirl marks and scratches after the first wash. Use a good ceramic soap and you will have great water repulsion almost like you have Rain-X on the whole vehicle.
DO NOT USE DAWN soap to wash the vehicle, i have heard that strips the ceramic layer.

Agreed on doing it yourself. And yes, looks incredible when done.

It's totally worth doing. I do it myself though, but the outcome should be the same more or less. You'll find it stays cleaner longer as the water just beads off.

I’m set to have mine ceramic coated this weekend. Can’t wait for it to look as good as TrailSpecial22’s. :^)

(Heck, I’d like for my grass to look as good as his, too!)

I had many cars ceramic coated, different types of products. It does not last when the car or truck is used in the winter. Garage queens - no problem, it will last for many years. For ones that used year round, it has to be redone every 3 years or so.

Very easy. All the prep is the difficult part. Tons of YT videos on how to prep correctly. It'll take a weekend if you're unfamiliar with polishing. A day of you have previous know how.
