Hello Toyo fam: I have purchased a 2013 Toyota Forerunner and am in desperate need of a mobile mechanic to do a comprehensive vehicle inspection - not just ck the fluids and kick the tires. Can someone make a recommendation of a knowledgeable and honest mobile mechanic?

Why not just drive it to a reputable shop?

Mobile mechanic is like a quick lube place - increase in convenience results in inferior work.

Take your truck to a reputable shop, you will have a better chance to have meaningful inspection.

A bit out of town, but I liked these guys when I lived out there:

Don't know if they do inspections, though.

Are you able to add roadside assistance to your insurance easily, or get a triple A membership for your trip?

Also, that's a long ass drive. I'm guessing flying is not an option, or are you staying out west after this?

The mobile mechanic we used was not for my 4Runner, but the guys did a good job on an old truck I have and seemed knowledgeable all around. I agree though that going to a reputable shop where they can put your truck up on a lift would be better. If you are on the west side of Atlanta, go to Jimmy at Autoville on Thornton Road.
