Popped the hood and noticed oil caked everywhere on lines and hoses as well.
    Oil level is fine.
    Any ideas?

Valve cover gasket looks dry. My guess is that it is coming from somewhere else.

Would overfilled engine oil do something like that?

^^^^^^^^ That. Clean it, and watch. Check oil to see if its actually losing/going low over time while you find the source. Looks like its been there a while, could be anything.

Crank seal might be slinging it, but check your power steering fluid level. Mine has 240k and it's collecting a little bit there, but not like that. Full synthetic everything is good for Toyotas and it preserves seals and gaskets better, longer. My friends Tacoma 3.5 had a leak there. His steering fluid was low and I think they have a few problems built in. I use Mobil 1 5w-30 synthetic/ 10k changes+Toyota filter and my is dry as a bone. Try some Lucas synthetic power steering fluid. Clean and degrease it and monitor it. A $10 front crankshaft seal is about all I have read about for 4.0 problems, besides the dash light circus codes.

Can’t tell if that’s sarcasm or not, but the GR series is known for the timing chain weeping/leaking oil. My 2011 has it. I think I’ve seen reports the VVTi lines can leak as well.

May be timing cover leak. Not nearly as prevalent as it was with the 4th gen 4.0L, but has been reported a few times here. Mine is leaking near the alternator.

I have read that, but I haven't seen it on mine. It might be the vvti line to the solenoid. It's right there. I just haven't had that problem. That said, it usually takes a year of first new model to identify a common issue, production correction the second year if it's a part and by the 3rd year of a new generation the part or assembly has been modified to correct. My 2013 is really clean for 240k. A friend is a Toyota tech and he said all he did was 3.5 timing covers. I have used Mobil 1 synthetic for decades and it keeps motor sludge free on the inside and leak free on the outside. Any synthetic is better and it keeps from clogging your VVTI filters.

Replace your pcv valve if you haven’t done so. A clogged pcv valve will cause oil leaks.

This is either you VVTI line or the timing cover gasket. Clean it and right below you will see a cover plate with 4 screws. A new gasket is $12.
