New 4Runners on hold?

Has anyone been able to pick up your 4Runner order or reservation recently? I’ve been looking online, and it appears that all 4Runners are currently on hold at the ports.

I just picked up mine last week 2025 4Runner TRD Off Road, iForceMax built at the Tahara Toyota plant in Japan. Very happy!

Mine was in transit and now delayed without eta..

 

I’m the inventory manager at a large volume VW/Volvo dealer in south Florida. We got a ton of cars “on hold/no ETA” since the tariffs have been announced. They are barely trickling cars to dealer, at least it’s my experience.

 

In my area on the west cost 4Runners, LC250s, Tacos and Tundras are everywhere on lots and no one buying them.

Maybe expand your search radius and see what is a few hours drive away.

 

Maybe there is a broader sales hold for all of them, even on the lots? They did do a sales hold with Tacomas to address the brake line issue, because they were waiting for redesigned parts.

 

Just found out, it is nationwide. They’re on QC hold.

 

Do you know what specifically for, same as the Taco issue? I know Tundras have an open recall on rear reverse lights.

Don’t know how true and don’t quote me. Talks are it is because of low supply of JBL BT speakers and something about the air dam.

 

I’d guess air dam. They’ve been falling off. Lots of reports over at 4runner6g.com

with how often they’re falling off and falling off on the highway id imagine a recall is in the works as well.

 

Next you tell me that fender flares getting spontaneously painted.

I bought mine about a month ago and the Air Dam almost tore off when I drove it on the highway. I took it back to my local toyota dealership and they have ordered the part. It rides good on the highway.

 

Sounds like someone might've licensed Tesla's innovative self-deleting technology!
